The U.S. Army's 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1stSFOD-D) plans and conducts a broad range of special operations across the operational continuum. Delta is organized for the conduct of missions requiring rapid response with surgical applications of a wide variety of unique skills, while maintaining the lowest possible profile of U.S. involvement. They are the most secretive and clandestine of all the world's special forces. Also known as CAG (Combat Applications Group) the Pentagon manages to tightly control what is known about this Unit. The US government neither acknowledges nor denies the existence of Delta.

Now, for the very first time and exclusive only to S-Tierra, Delta Force has allowed unprecedented access into its ultra secretive world. Through a Delta operator (whose identity, as per instruction of the Pentagon, will be kept secret) we will see the advanced and often times gruesome training that each operator goes through to become the world's deadliest and most effective counter terrorist unit!
The identity of each operator is a closely guarded secret
Training involves runs through CQB (Close Quarters Battle) killing houses designed to teach teams and individuals how to assault buildings that have been captured by terrorists.Their facility at Bragg is reported to be considered the best special operation training facility in the world. The CQB indoor training range has earned the ominous nick-name, "The House of Horrors". CQB techniques include:
1. Dynamic Room Entry Technique
2. Ultra advanced Close Quarter Battle Tactics
Each Delta member has at his disposal an amazing array of the most modern and exotic weapons system available today! Hence they are trained to use efficiently most, if not all of the most powerful armament of the world's armies. Delta ops are known as the best tactical shooters in the world- bar none!
Multiple weapons training is one of the key to becoming the best shooter in the world.
They are also experts in explosive and ordnance deployment and disarmament.

As a counter-terrorist group, Delta's main function is in hostage rescue.
This is what sets Delta apart from the rest of the special forces community. They are extremely successful at hostage rescue (as evidence by the rescue of American businessman Kurt Muse from a Panamanian jail during operation Just Cause and more recently the rescue of an Italian businessman held by Iraqi insurgents in a safe house) because of their training in:
1. Advanced hostage negotiations Techniques
2. Rapid and Systematic extraction of hostage into safe Zone
Delta Force is also trained extensively in surveillance and counter-surveillance using the most modern and sophisticated electronic and digital equipment:
Because they are deployed to the most inhospitable places known to man, each member is trained to survive on his own by getting by on what nature can provide or on what he can scavenge.
Having the ability to tell between what is edible and not may spell the difference between life and death
Often D-Boys go with little or no food at all:
Because of their unconventional nature, Delta often employs tactical and strategical methods to accomplish their missions that are considered by many to be "black" or verging on the edge of illegal (specifically as far as the Geneva Convention (global) and the Posse Commitatus Act is concerned (stateside)). Because of this, SFOD-D has perpetually been under "investigation" (though there has never been any formal charge or conviction against any member of Delta) by the civil and federal authorities worldwide.
PsyWar (Psychological Warfare) Tactic: one of the most controversial and brutal prisoner interrogation technic used by operators
As per Pentagon's directives this thread will self destruct in 5 mins...
