On this day, I had my "mojo" back. Little Big, Tiny's replacement gave me a good game today without exhausting me too much. Now I can easily move around, run, change position / stance, switch from right hand to left hand and vice versa, swing my weapon around covers and corners. I'm glad that the full tweakings I've made last night fixed the double / triple feeding issue of the gun. I don't have any regrets on the fixation because I love it when I fix my weapon and use it in the field. Just like my R6 but in a much "durable" format. I wish to teflon seal the piston cylinder head but when I've checked the air compression, I'm already satisfied so I've decided to leave it as it is...for now. I've also re-greased the gears and all the moving parts inside the gearbox for smooth operation. The barrel and the metal hop assembly on the other hand, went into general cleaning as well. Sulit ang pagod at ang puyat. But I'm planning to replace the hop-rubber (bucking ba ang tawag dun?) into a new one.
So far I've already laid my plans for Little Big. I plan to install a long barrel, probably 550mm, tight if possible. Cover the excess barrel with a suppressor then replace the stock cylinder to type 0 cylinder. Leave the rest stock for the mean time. At this point, it is like that I have Tiny's spirit again in a much more light and compact form. I'll install a bipod then have a red dot or a small scope with a less than 4 maginification mounted. An An-Peq2 battery case will be mounted as well. Soon, Little Big will turn into a light-weight, compact designated marksman rifle.
Right now I'm already happy with my new weapon. The weathered looks and feel of the shell offers me a much more realistic look. Internals are good also. Gears are still good and the teeth of the piston are still good. I love the "c0cking sound" whenever I pull and release the charging handle. I guess this is something only a real metal has to offer. I also love the three pieces hi-cap magazines. No need to refill BBs. Just swap, lock and ready to rock. I found the side swivel and side sling attachment also convenient.
This is Little Big... Maliit ang itsura, malaki ang kaluluwa. "Uh luvs mah ghun"
