S - Tierra Pampanga Airsoft Team :
Sec 1 : Proposal 1
Sec 2 : Proposal 2
Sec 3 : Considerations
Proposal 1 : New messaging system for members
I. How does it work?
II. External Buddies
III. Purpose
IV. Possible Problems
I. How does it work?
The new system uses a "buddy" system in w/c each members will choose their "buddy". What ever team announcement a member receives will forward it to his "buddy". His "buddy" will then forward that message to his "buddy" and so the message will make its journey to the whole team.
For more detailed explanation, we will simulate it...
Example, Me (william), will choose Pastor as my buddy. Then Pastor chooses Sir Manzi as his buddy and Sir Manzi chooses Sir Paul as his buddy...
When I made an announcement thru text, I will send that message to Pastor. Pastor then will forward the message to Sir Manzi. Sir Manzi will forward the massage again to Sir Paul and Sir Paul will forward it again to his buddy and so on... It's like a chain letter or chain text message but instead of sending it to 2 or more persons, you'll just send it to one person.
The choosing of "buddy" will be ONE AT A TIME so that the chain will not be broken.
It is also recommended that Doc, our team president will choose me (the secretary) as his buddy since I stand as the secretary of the team and one of my job is to inform the members whatever announcement our team president has to say (yung mga importante lang) heheheh!.
II. Extended Buddies
A member is allowed to have multiple buddies AS LONG AS HE / SHE can handle them.
NO ONE IN THE TEAM IS ALLOWED TO ASK A MEMBER TO HOST EXTENDED BUDDIES. HANDLING EXTENDED BUDDIES IS PURELY VOLUNTARY.
(Note : Externded Buddies is just like our current messaging system where I will SMS only the squad leaders and the the squad leaders will be the one who'll forward the SMS to their respective squad members.)[/i]
III. Purpose
- To cut the cost of messaging via SMS or Text. In other words "tipid" modes. (LoL)
- To make sure that ALL TEAM WILL BE INFORMED.
- To make things more convenient (squad leaders and me(the secretary)).
- To make everyone in the team moving.
IV. Possible Problems
If a member didn't pass or forward the message, let's say he or she's too busy, lazy or runs out of load or prepaid, the message will be cut. This is not your ordinary "chain text or SMS message" so PLS DON'T IGNORE IT FOR REAL BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN IF YOU DO.
This problem can be easily remedied by saving just ONE PESO load in your mobile phone and I know you can do it.
Sec 2 :
Proposal 2 : Game Confirmation
Proposal 2 concerns more about the member(s) who's connected to a game site. It also concerns about how our regular game will be set.
In this case, as much as possible, before our day's game (Sunday), the one who's or who're connected to any S-Tierra game sites will send a message to our team president via SMS or Text regarding the site's status. Our team president then will decide where we'll gonna held the game w/c he will send his decision to me (the secretary) via SMS or Text and I will forward it under the rule of Proposal # 1.
In this written document, I choose our team president as the one who makes decision where we'll gonna held a game for a reason so obvious but our team president can assign a member for this job if he wishes to.
If proposal 1 and 2 will be implemented, S-Tierra will experience a new kind of messaging system w/c was simulated below.
Those who are connected to a game site are the very first ones who'll send a message (as much as possible before our day's game) to our team president (or the one our team president have appointed) informing him about the game site's availability.
Our team president (or the one our team president have appointed) then will decide where the game will be held and will set the sched of the game w/c was usually 1pm.
The decision then will be forwarded to me (the secretary) via SMS or Text message w/c I (the secretary) will forward it to my "buddy" and so the journey of the message will begin.
Sec 3 :
Considerations
In case a member can't attend a regular game, HE IS STILL REQUIRED TO FORWARD THE TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT. After forwarding the team announcement, HE MUST THEN REPORT TO THE SECRETARY THAT HE WON'T BE ABLE TO MAKE IT ON THE SAID GAME so that the secretary can monitor who'll be coming and who'll not.
* * * * *
With this new kind of system, kahit 1 peso na lang ang load or prepaid ng isang member, magagawa pa niyang ma inform ang lahat ng mga members. Unlike sa ating current messaging system w/c I (the secretary) will text all the squad leaders (and the squad leaders to their squad members), my squad mates and other members who don't have a squad yet, if I run out of load or prepaid, mahihirapan ng mag travel ang message. Another thing is malalaman rin natin kung sino pa ang mga active members.
And by the way, I don't use unlimited text because it's not really unlimited. ;D
This proposal will be introduced to our members VERBALLY next sunday game (July 22, 2007). If not, then it will be moved.
